Overview

Together, We’re Helping to Improve Early Childhood Outcomes Across Our State.

ABCD helps bring the lifelong benefits of early identification of developmental needs to all Colorado children and families. Working with frontline providers, we make it easier for Colorado families to access developmental screenings, referrals, evaluations and support in the early years of a child’s life, when it matters most.

What is a developmental screening? It’s a simple series of questions to help caregivers know whether children are learning basic skills or have other social, emotional or behavioral needs. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends all children under age 3 receive regular developmental screenings to identify those who may need further evaluation and support.

Our programs and services are offered directly to the primary care, early childhood and community agencies serving children and families. Working together, we’re helping to improve child development outcomes across our state.
